Manuka Island
Manuka Island Accommodation
Come and stay at Karaka Studio, located on what is technically an island on the edge of the Waimea Estuary only 20 minutes drive from Nelson city and Motueka.
The four acre Island is privately owned in what the Department of Conservation identifies as being one of the most highly significant areas in the Waimea Inlet. Whilst having easy drive on access, the island has a one kilometre long driveway through rural land which ensures total privacy.
Karaka Studio, while small, has indoor-outdoor living with fabulous views over the estuary and the mountains to the west. A highlight for many guests is identifying many of the special birds of the Waimea Inlet whilst sitting on the deck, relaxing in this special, natural environment with a glass of Nelson wine.
